Sunflower Honey, Produced in the Hills of Central Tuscany (Arezzo and Siena)

The Sunflower is cultivated for the production of the oil contained in the seeds. Sunflower honey has a bright yellow color whose brilliance derives from the presence of micro-drops of oil on the pollen. The aromas are reminiscent of pollen and hay with hints of pineapple. The taste has fruity notes of ripe apricots with spicy hints and a slightly acidic finish. It has a fair amount of sweetness. This honey tends to crystallize, taking on a creamy and slightly grainy consistency.

Excellent in combination with mature and blue cheeses
